It was "the showdown" for the preliminary decisions for the newly introduced FWQ Finals system and the chance to advance to the Freeride World Tour 2023. 4*FWQ Silvretta-Montafon - the next stage of the Open Faces is coming up. Many of the best freeriders will be at the start in Montafon (AUT) to qualify for the BIG FWQ FINALS 2022 at this last event before the "qualification cut". The challenging terrain will demand real skills from the freeriders and will offer a spectacular freeride show.

Fantastic Freeriding in the dreamlike deep snow in the beautiful Alpbachtal (AUT). There the freeriders offered an impressive show with spectacular runs. Nico Partell (AUT) stood out, winning men's ski with a run with 3 backflips and high speed overall. Strong performances of the young riders demonstrated the enormous development of freeride sports. High-quality runs, a lot of airtime, many backflips and an absolute "moment of the day" of the winner in the men's ski category.

The 3* Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ) of the Open Faces took place on Saturday, Feb. 12th, in the beautiful Alpbachtal (AUT). There the freeriders offered an impressive show with spectacular runs. Nico Partell (AUT) stood out, winning men's ski with a run with 3 backflips and high speed overall. Strong performances of the young riders were shown in all disciplines in perfect conditions of deep snow.
