UCPA hors piste instruction?

(prof d'anglais et adepte de l'UCPA à la fois, vous en connaissez beaucoup ?????? )

Je resume pour les non anglophone!
Il a jamais été à l'UCPA, mais veut faire un stage hors piste chez eux! il a un bon niveau de ski en piste et un tout petit peu d'experience hors piste (mais je pense que c'est un petit peu de poudre à coté des pistes )! Il demande si l'UCPA est un bonne endroit pour apprendre le HP et quelles sont les differences entre leur pack hors piste et leur pack instruction de haut niveau! Puis quels equipements ils louent (même si je pense que l'équipement est preté!). Il voudrait faire un stage UCPA hors piste à Argentiere pendant 2jours! (ca fait peu pour vraiment bien se debrouiller en poudre, non?)
Voila si j'ai fait une faute dites le moi! Mais je peux pas repondre (je connais pas l'UCPA!)

Il hésite entre:
- aller à l'UCPA à Argentières ou
- aller à St Anton prendre un cours de HP pendant 2 jours chez un voyagiste(je ne retrouve plus le terme exact) grand-breton
Où en apprendra-t-il plus???

Non ton post n'est pas amusant! J'ai traduit, et si quelqu'un passe et connait la réponse il pourra t'aider! En plus moi aussi je suis interessé pour travailler ma technique en poudreuse et le saut de barre!

I'm gona try to do my best to explain you all about UCPA in Argentières. I spent a whole week there 2 years ago.

I don't know much about the prices, but I think they charge you for something like 500 euros, depending on the week you wanna go there.
Anyway, I think UCPA really is a good bargain. Go for it !!
The price includes 6 days skipass + whole safety equipment (transceiver + shovel + probe + harness when skiing on glaciers) + ski rental (Rossi B2- though you can bring your own skis -the bigger the better ) + guide + ticket to Aiguille du midi + full board + a few beers !!

As far as skiing is concerned, guided day starts at 8.45. You spend the whole day with your guide and you ride with 7 or 8 people. Groups are based on your skiing level. Basically, during the first guided day, guides have a look at your skiing technical competence and settle groups from that moment on.
Concerning technical analysis and personnal feedback, guides are ready to help you and tell you what to do and ride better. Depending on your technical level again and snow conditions, guides lead you to les Grands Montets, Brevent/Flegere, Vallorcine/Le Tour...and to the Vallée balnche if your group wants to have a ride up there.

Therefaore I would say go for it, especially if you only have a bit of off psite experience. What's more, spending a whole week in Argentières is much better than a 2 day-course in St Anton, isn't it ?

I don't know if that will help you to choose between St Anton or Argentières- hope so anyway .

You answered most of my questions. I was hoping they had some fatter boards ( PR? Scrach BC?), maybe i'll rent some for two or three days.
It seems there are a lot of "formulas": alpine ski, ski hors piste, ski hors piste free ride, and a bunch of other options. Are they really that different? Usually the best group in ski school (let's say competition for ESF) go quite a bit off piste, if it's the same for UCPA is it worth adding money for an off piste "formula"? (that could be money well spent at the bar)
Btw i meant was skiing a week in St anton and taking two guided days

Just go for the 'ski hors piste freeride ' course. The best routes, best slopes, best snow, best level...What else could I say ?
I don't really know what ski alpin or ski hors piste look like, but if you've already tried an ESF off piste course, skiing during that ski hors piste freeride course will be much better-I think so anyway.
