Ovronnaz is good for freeriding

Especially Chatillon offers great possibilities. This lift is very special it offers great access to steep and ungroomed terrain - what is especially interesting during bad weather, as it is below tree line. The scenery is beautiful! Also the valley run is really nice.

From the top of Tsantonnaire you really have an amazing view of the valais alps and towards Mont Blanc!

However there could also be some steeper slopes further up on the mountain above tree line (it is mostly flat there) - that would be great during spring conditions. The Tsantonnaire lift is quite old - not comfy but it works.

The village is located on the south side of the Bernese Alps, on a terrace above the Rhone river, at an altitude of 1,330 metres. The region is surrounded by the summits of Grand Chavalard, Petit and Grand Muveran and Haut de Cry.

The village itself lacks a little and old centre - however it is quite nice. There is a supermarket and some restaurants are around. 

They also have a thermal bath and spa (what i did not visit). 

Decent cross country (classic and skating) skiing is also offered.

The resort is small, but very beautiful. The terrain is reasonably steep for a small resort. However there is enough beginner terrain.
