Test Völkl mantra 2017

I was able to try the mantra several times this season in deep powder, heavy old snow and slush.

A surprisingly responsive ski on piste, the stiffness and width of the mantra also lets it push through the slush and through heavier snow with ease.

I found it to be a lot of hard work on short turns and in maneuvering through the trees but a great long turn ski that you can really push on open runs and in powder.

If you ski aggressively and hard you will enjoy the mantra in all conditions but not a ski for a lazy skier
