CLIENT DESCRIPTION
MediaMountain (www.mediamountain.com) founded in 1999, is a Dutch company based
in Amsterdam, which is specialized in outdoor and multimedia marketing communication
concepts in winter sport areas. The concepts include using lift posters, lift caps,
(mega)billboards, state of the art on line managed full color screens, etc.. The company
has been very successful and shows fast growth. In 2006 turnover doubled (from 5 to 10
million Euros) and for 2007 the projected turnover will be around Euro 15 million. As
the technical infrastructure throughout Europe has been established, the company plans
to invest in expanding its international sales force. In 2012 the company plans to have
achieved a turnover of Euro 100 million. The company is owned by a limited number of
founding partners.
MediaMountain currently works with 200 authoritative ski-resorts in Europe as a result
of which the network has a total reach of approximately 37 million visitors. It has an up
market profile and bias towards the age group 15-49. Total reach is built up throughout
the season as there is a new group of visitors every week. These people are relaxed and
open minded and have a positive association with enjoyment, relaxation, sports and a
clean environment. As the company has a policy to have brand exclusivity per object,
there are limited distractions and an almost forced exposure. The high quality contact
frequency over a longer period with a captive audience has high impact and, as a result of
that high recall.
Assignments are mainly Pan-European multimedia campaigns, with a long-term
character. Nissan, Philips, Robeco, Rabobank, Canon, Samsung en Lexus are part of the
client portfolio.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In order to establish a pan European sales force, the company is searching for a senior
level candidate for the position of Senior International Account Director for the
French/Swiss region, who will have the following responsibilities:
· Responsible for generating leads and identifying and closing sales to new clients.
He/She will develop and execute new client account plans to ensure that
opportunities for establishing prospects as clients are identified, qualified and
closed in an efficient manner.

· Develop relationships at senior level in (mostly) international organizations and
will match the client success factors, priorities and risks to the portfolio of
services of MediaMountain.
· He/She will use sophisticated account planning techniques and sales information
systems to be as effective as possible.
· He/She will be part of the European sales team and report directly to the
European Sales Director.
· Regular traveling within Europe is part of the role.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
This position is strategically important for the company and requires the following
Qualifications & Skills:
Qualifications
· High educational background.
· Experience in international concept selling and business development in an
organization that provides value-added business solutions that have medium to
long lead times.
· Experience in selling concepts at board level and translating the clients
marketing/media objectives to creative media solutions in close cooperation with
international media offices.
· Proven track record as a deal maker/creator/negotiator at Executive Board level.
· Previous high exposure and impact to senior decision-makers at Board level being
recognized as a credible and trusted executive (knows their issues).
· Previously held a senior account management type of role.
· Experience in an international marketing/media sector.
Skills
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills – must have the ability to deal
with people at all levels within organizations.
· Able to operate autonomously and within direct teams (establish strong in-house
relationships).
· Strong strategist.
· Excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
· Must possess the visionary and strategic perspectives to plan for longer-term
growth.
· Commercially sharp and hard-edged when necessary.
· Credible, driven and a high achiever.
· Must possess a high level of presentation and persuasiveness skills.
· Ability to open doors.
· Ability to interact with different cultures.
